There are times
when we look back.
We see burdens
strapped to our backs.
The capacity for
vision can’t be found.
So we must put
both feet on the ground.
But what I see as
the day creeps slowly by,
at times softness can
sustenance not supply.
So I tear out my
cordially met manners.
To supply my own
light with oil-less lanterns.
Hello my friend,
I can see you clearly now.
With my own light
the ins and outs of how.
How to learn
about myself everyday.
How to open eyes
with ferocity on display.
I’ll go along with
those who do the same.
If I slip though own
I will the plentiful blame.
Respect I will
still exude outward.
Fight I will though
as if a burning flower.
I extend the bouquet
yet I supply a slight grin.
Just know that I fight
battles underneath the skin.
The world will not
hear unless we scream.
Harbor good will
yet fight for your dreams.
Softness well received
can be snuffed out by the world.
Appreciate the journey
shine bright inside but also outward.
Okay, this might be my favorite! This one moved me to tears, touched me on such a deeply emotional level!
