God forgive me I do not
believe I have been here.
The paint is so unfamiliar
though I’ve seen it for years.
The bed it is elevated high
off of the floor that I crawl
across the carpet my feet
do not touch ground at all.
The light that I’ve read to
is a different color since I
last saw you around in here.
God please take these eyes.
Softer is the air in the room
that I read your musings in.
I am changed forever by the
gentle words I found in them.
You are a figment I imagine
you as you write words gazing
at your creation before you
finish to make things amazing.
What is this tapestry of gold
that grabs to take such control
of my desire for stories told
in what you bring for my soul.
Turning chapter to chapter
inside there comes laughter
covering all my little disasters
making me happily ever after.
Nothing is as it is usually now
since when first I figured how
your elegant dialogue shrouds
torrential rain in dark clouds.
I can feel your eyes no disguise
you could ever make could hide
the weeping sun you can provide
to the darkest corner you supply.
God forgive me I do not
believe I have been in here.
The darkness it disappears
after being here for years.
So beautiful Jared!:)
