Come As You Are

All of the time I’m
consumed by time.
Branching a heart
mine rusts to shine.
It’s the only organ
that I can dress up
while twisting bone
in me says enough.
Accentuate a devil
he will grandly nod.
That you and none
are his mighty god.
I’m a banshee blind,
the wind holds no
sway on my face as I
a devil feel a scold.
I can not dress sad
a countenance mine
when already a rust
its cold hold did find.
Maybe I am a devil
deep under my scars.
A voice I recollect it
said come as you are.
